Project "Spacetime" since 2006
Even my sculptural work is based on my tremendous interest in physical phenomena.
The theory, for example, of the curvature of space and time is rather a stimulating one for a man’s spirit and at the same time an enormous challenge for his imagination.
I decided to create my own Spacetime-Models totally disregarding Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking & co.
Whether I use soft or hard materials depends on my current mood. Sometimes when making art, I appreciate sort of a tough workout with brittle material such as metal, stone, wood etc. At other times I’m more in need of a calm “Yoga-Session” … then I choose my good old friend, the smooth and friendly clay.
